Mark attended the Sheridan Institute of Art, Animation, and Design, earning a BAA of Illustration between 2004-2008. A Toronto-based commercial artist, he specialises in both technical illlustration and graphic design. He has done work for many local businesses, as well as Kodak in an advertising campaign featuring his "Robot with a USB Heart" piece, amongst other graduate works.

As an illustrator, he prefers to work digitally and is well-versed in Photoshop, Painter, and other similar pieces of software. Proficient in 3D modelling and web design, the latter is a special field of interest, one he is ever trying to expand upon.

His artistic influences include Will Eisner, Fujishima Kosuke, the art nouveau work of Alfons Mucha, and the architectural work of Guðjón Samúelsson.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys the martial arts, particularly Aikido, and is a part-time amateur performer. He runs the Ontario Anime Society, works as an editor at RPGFan, and enjoys the music of Alexander Scriabin, Yasunori Mitsuda, and Johnathan Coulton.
